Khine is a Director at British American Tobacco Myanmar Ltd. (BAT Myanmar) and involves in every key step of its business closure and divestment from Myanmar since Oct., 2021. Khine exercises practical implementation of the directors’ legal duties at various points during the process. Khine also served as the project lead and provided management oversight at multiple business transformations and transitions including M&A processes of its joint venture establishment in Myanmar. Khine executed best practices on Corporate Governance and Business Conduct, Legislative and Regulatory Reforms, Tax and Trade Engagement, External & Internal Communications, Commercial Compliance and Stakeholders Relationships, and championed ESG Initiatives as a responsible corporate citizen.

Under the mandate of Anti-Illicit Trade Initiatives of the EuroCHAM Myanmar, Khine represented the consumers’ goods and pharmaceutical industries and advocate solutions to address the issues and challenges of illicit trade as a Steering Committee Member. Being a Co-Chair of Government Affairs Committee under American Chamber of Commerce Myanmar, Khine accomplished key milestones in policy and regulatory engagements with respect to responsible, sustainable, and transparent investment in Myanmar. Khine actively involved with the Professional Women’s Network of the British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar while building friendships and business relationships with women from different career paths. Khine continued to serve as the Secretary of Trade & Investment Working Group of Myanmar Business Initiative – Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry to foster private sector investment.

Within the global network of Rotary International for community services, Khine currently serves as a Treasure at the Rotary Club of Yangon and manages the club’s finances and ensures good financial stewardship to carry out service projects, fundraise and support The Rotary Foundation.

Khine was a founder and the Chairperson of Myanmar Tobacco Association for the year 2019-2020 to establish advocacy platforms for tax and trade policy reforms and products standardization for New Categories. Khine successfully laid out plans for strategic networking and strengthen third party alliances and partners with the industry leaders.
