Annual General Meeting 2021

The MIoD’s second Annual General Meeting 2021 was held on 23^rd September 2021. Given the COVID-19 guidelines this years’ AGM was held electronically by live-stream on Zoom in the interests of safety for our fellow members.  

The meeting was led by U Thura Ko Ko, who was appointed as the AGM Chair, followed by Daw Thiri Thant Mon, CEO of MIoD, who presented the CEO’s Annual Report, and the Auditors reviewed the Audit Statement. There were 6 resolutions voted by the member at the AGM and by proxy forms, which appointed new directors, re-appointed the current auditors of the MIoD until the next AGM and updated the Constitution to introduce new term limits for board members and form a new Advisory Council.  All resolutions were passed. 

We would like to congratulate the re-elected board members U Aung Zaw Naing, U Thura Ko Ko, Mr. Melvyn Pun, Ms. Victoria Bowman and Daw Win Win Tint.  For the five vacant seats, seven members put themselves forward for election and 81 members participated in the voting process. 

The Board and the management of MIoD sincerely thank all of our past and present supporters, funders, trainers who have been crucial to enable the activities of MIoD. Your continued presence and contribution to the MIoD is highly valued by our Board and fellow members. We are looking forward to helping you and your company with your corporate governance and directorship journey and working together to further the cause of good governance and building professional boards in Myanmar.
