We are pleased to share that the Myanmar Institute of Directors (MIoD) successfully held its Annual General Meeting 2026 via Zoom on Friday, 18 September 2026.

The AGM was chaired by U Thura Ko Ko, Board Chair, with Daw Thiri Thant Mon, Executive Director, presenting the Directors’ Report and MIoD Annual Report for the year ended 31 March 2026. Members also adopted the financial statements and approved the new MIoD Policy Document and Constitution.

Our seventeenth Leadership Series session, “Human Leadership in the Digital World” was successfully held on 23 September 2026 (Wednesday) via Zoom.

Led by Sayar Gyi Prof. Dr. Aung Tun Thet, Patron of MIoD, the session explored how leaders can navigate the digital world while keeping people at the heart of leadership.⁣

Arasu Shankher is Chief Executive Officer of CodeStax.Ai, an enterprise AI and digital transformation implementation firm of over 70 engineers, working with banks, NBFCs and other regulated institutions across India and emerging markets.

His career spans over two decades. The first half was spent in large technology companies including Microsoft, Amazon & Google and the second in C-level roles at high-growth technology businesses.
He has led CodeStax.Ai since 2020, delivering production AI systems in regulated environments – including identity & video KYC validation, document processing, process automation and risk intelligence. The firm is ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified.

Arasu has worked with Myanmar corporates for the past five years. He has led the design of AI governance policies, model risk controls & compliance frameworks for financial-sector clients and speaks regularly on AI at industry forums in India.

He holds a BE in Computer Science from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai and is co-inventor on patents in the data protection space.
Alessio leads the AWS technology team helping customers adopt AI agents. He works with ASEAN’s unicorns and enterprises to build highly scalable & innovative services – to fulfil their vision and purpose to “jointly raise the standards of living for the ASEAN community and beyond”.

Alessio specialize in Payments and Fintech. Prior to AWS, he worked for banks across Central America, Africa, and Asia, delivering online and mobile banking, wealth management, and retail payments products. Most recently, he was the Chief Architect and CTO of HSBC’s PayMe, Hong Kong’s leading Digital Wallet.
U Sai Lu Mon Aung is the Chief Executive Officer of KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd. and aims to take insurance industry in Myanmar to the next level of maturity and rapid growth working together with multiple stakeholders in the market. He actively promotes corporate governance, diversity & inclusion and sustainability within his organization and partner organizations.

Daw Su Sandar Zaw

Daw Su Sandar Zaw is one of the most experienced in business advisory services and specialized in corporate finance, management consulting, and deal with more than 17 years in Myanmar and Singapore. Su has a strong knowledge of financial management, portfolio management, investment advisory, business valuation and financial modeling in the Finance & Banking Industry and Private Equity Firm with CCA background. Su has extensive experience with project related to the market entries of companies in telecommunication, and banking & financial service industries in Myanmar and Singapore.

Su was formally a Finance Director of private equity firm, Anthem Asia Myanmar, and take charged of the portfolio monitoring, overseeing the growth of investment portfolio companies operationally & strategically, and the funds management and closely work with IFC. Su was a Finance Manager about 5 years’ experience in banking sector and one of the pioneers for the transition period of ANZ Bank (Myanmar Branch) from the representative office to the branch. Thus, she has a strong knowledge of financial & operational system set up, and a strong collaboration with the regulators. Su also has about 8 years working experience in F&B sector, and education sector in Singapore.

Su is graduated with Bachelor of Commerce, and she is holding a Master of Banking & Finance. She is Myanmar First Winner and world ranking 11th of Advanced Performance Management, ACCA UK. She is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants from United Kingdom and Chartered Practising Accountant Australia. Su is also a committee member of Gender Lens of Myanmar Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and she is one of the volunteer mentors of the mentoring session for the SME development in Myanmar.

U Kyaw Thet Naing

U Kyaw Thet Naing is a Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioner and Managing Director of Yoke Pyo Company Limited. With dual degrees in Traditional Medicine (B.M.T.M) and Law (L.L.B), along with advanced diplomas in Business and Human Resource Management from ABE-UK, he combines medical expertise with strong leadership and organizational skills. His diverse educational background and dedication to Myanmar’s traditional healing practices position him as both a healthcare professional and an accomplished business leader.
