Daw Thiri Thant Mon

Daw Thiri Thant Mon is the Director of Investor Relations for Climate Investment, a private equity firm based in London, UK focused on investing in decarbonisation technologies. She also serves as Executive Director of the Myanmar Institute of Directors which is Myanmar’s corporate governance body and trustee for Turquoise Mountain Foundation, a UK charity that focuses on heritage preservation countries such as Afghanistan and Myanmar. She has held a number of leadership roles over her 20 year career as a finance and capital markets professional. Before returning to Myanmar in 2013, she was a capital markets investment banker with Morgan Stanley in London helping institutional clients raise multi-billion dollar financings. Upon her return, she was a member of the executive committee and Head of Corporate Development at Yoma Strategic Holdings. She founded Pegu Partners – previously named Sandanila – a capital and investment advisory firm, in 2015. Thiri started her career in 2000 in the US with Capital One. Thiri has a strong interest in building societal vibrancy and sustainability and is the organiser of TEDxYangon. She holds a BA in Economics from William & Mary and an MBA from the London Business School.

Dr. Tun Thura Thet is the Chief Solutions Architect at Nirvasoft Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based regional software company specializing in enterprise solutions and digital innovation. He was also the founder and executive chairman of Myanmar Information Technology (MIT) Pte Ltd, the leading software development and system integration company in Myanmar.
Dr. Tun was a special guest speaker at the NTU Convocation in 2015 and received the NTU Alumni Achievement Award in 2021 from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In academia, he serves as a visiting professor and lecturer at Yangon University of Economics, Meiktila University of Economics, and the University of Computer Studies, Yangon, where he teaches in the Executive Master of Business (EMBA), Executive Master of Banking and Finance (EMBF), and Master of Computer Science (MCSc) programs. As an academic, Dr. Tun has published several research papers in the fields of sentiment analysis and machine learning.
Dr. Tun co-founded and served as a director of the Myanmar ICT Development Corporation (MICT Park). He was also an elected director of the Myanmar Institute of Directors (MIoD) and an independent director of the Myanmar Credit Bureau. Dr. Tun founded MIT in 1997 and is considered one of the pioneers in Myanmar’s then-nascent field of information technology. MIT provides ICT services in banking, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and digital innovation across Myanmar and regional markets. MIT was the winner of the ASEAN Business Award for the e-ASEAN sector in 2015 and the ASOCIO 2018 Outstanding ICT Company Award.
Daw Kim Chawsu

Kim is a board director and governance leader with over 20 years of international experience across Asia Pacific and the UK, spanning banking, financial services, and institutional governance.
She has served in independent director roles across multiple sectors, bringing deep expertise in financial restructuring, strategic oversight, and risk governance. Her background in external audit and global financial institutions in New Zealand and London underpins her strong command of internal controls, performance discipline, and executive accountability.
As Founder of K. Academy, a Myanmar-based capacity-building initiative, Kim is committed to strengthening board and senior management capability across the banking and finance sectors. She partners with CEOs, Chairs, and Boards to enhance financial sophistication, drive sustainable profitability, and embed robust governance frameworks.
Kim currently serves as an Independent Director for several organisations, guiding businesses through complex transitions, strengthening financial oversight, and aligning governance with long-term strategic value creation.
She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), holding dual fellowships with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). She is also a Fellow Director of the Thai Institute of Directors and a Board Director and faculty member of the Myanmar Institute of Directors.

Thuzar Win is a Certified Director, Corporate Governance Consultant, and seasoned business leader with more than 20 years of experience in strategic leadership, business development, and organizational transformation.
She currently serves as Executive Director of Alpha Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Independent Director at Early Dawn Microfinance, while also contributing as an Advisory Board Member of Golden Corn Enterprise Co., Ltd. Her leadership extends to prominent business associations, where she serves as Vice President of MYANWEN, a Central Executive Committee Member of UMFCCI, and Board Member of CCI France Myanmar.
Throughout her career, Thuzar has led high-impact initiatives in strategic planning, corporate governance, commercial negotiations, and people development. She successfully drove a 30% increase in sales through strategic brand positioning and contributed to a 25% growth in project sales over four consecutive years. A strong advocate for ethical leadership and inclusive workplaces, she played a key role in advancing Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, earning recognition through the ASEAN Business Award.
An alumna of the USAID Women Director Program (WDP), Thuzar holds an MBA from the University of Bradford (UK) and has completed executive leadership programs at Harvard and INSEAD.

Daw Win Win Tint is an award-winning Myanmar businesswoman. Win Win, at the age of just 21 assumed the management of City Mart Holding Company Limited (CMHL), a recently formed family company. At that time, CMHL operated just a single supermarket in central Yangon. Despite facing difficult economic and political conditions, Win Win built the business into the largest multi formats retail company in Myanmar. Meanwhile, the group founded other market leading businesses in the Distribution & Logistics and Real Estate sectors.
With the renewed vision of creating more value for our communities, the group has recently launched City Holdings with Win Win as Group Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Thaung Han is the Group CEO of Max Myanmar Group since 2019 and serves on its Board of Director. Prior to that, he served as President & CEO at Myanmar Citizen Bank, Managing Director at AYA Bank and Advisor at AYA Financial Group, and Group COO at Max Myanmar Group.
He earned his PHD in International Business from University of Texas at EI Paso and MBA from Purdue University. He also earned Diploma in Business Law and Executive MBA from Yangon University of Economics and holds a MBBS from Mandalay University of Medicine.
He is also a visiting faculty at private and government universities teaching various topic in finance and management. He has strong management experiences in banking and diverse business sectors, foreign JV, and NGOs. He has been actively participating in capacity building of the communities and CSR activities.
