Leadership Series: Human Leadership in the Digital World

September 23, 2026

Our seventeenth Leadership Series session, “Human Leadership in the Digital World” was successfully held on 23 September 2026 (Wednesday) via Zoom.

Led by Sayar Gyi Prof. Dr. Aung Tun Thet, Patron of MIoD, the session explored how leaders can navigate the digital world while keeping people at the heart of leadership.⁣

Key takeaways

  • Balance technology with human connection — Digital tools can drive efficiency, but people remain central to successful leadership.
  • Build adaptability and emotional intelligence — Effective digital leaders need to respond to rapid change while maintaining strong relationships and collaboration.
  • Create a culture of learning and inclusion — Leaders can encourage experimentation, continuous learning, data-driven decisions and inclusive collaboration.

One of the key messages from the session was that technology may shape the digital world, but human connection, purpose and well-being remain at the core of effective leadership.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Sayar Gyi for sharing his valuable insights, and to over 200 participants for joining and contributing to the engaging session.
