Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE)

The Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE) is a non-profit association and also a coalition of companies that are committed to promoting gender equality in the workplace in Myanmar. We are funded by a program to improve women’s economic participation, build markets for women and influence the private and public sector environment to promote women’s economic empowerment in the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia.

Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYANWEN) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded on April 2, 2020 by successful women entrepreneurs, women professionals, and aspiring young women entrepreneurs with the vision to be the leading organization empowering and providing key guidance to women-led businesses and women across all sectors to support the socio-economic development with (6) main objectives.

British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar (BCCM)

The British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar is an independent, non-profit membership organisation which aims to promote, support and represent business interests in Myanmar.

The organisation launched in July 2014 with the support of high profile British businesses – four Founding Patrons: Jardines, Prudential and Standard Chartered Bank.

Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce (MHKCCI)

The Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit international organization that promotes trade, responsible investment and economic relations between Myanmar and Hong Kong. The association was established in February 2019 and is the first Hong Kong chamber to be officially registered and based in Myanmar. MHKCCI is also officially supported by the Hong Kong government and HKTDC.

In line with the Hong Kong’s diversity and inclusiveness, the Chamber membership represents a wide range of industries and nationalities. The Chamber membership is open for companies and individuals interested in setting businesses up in Myanmar or investing in Hong Kong.

The Chamber is dedicated in providing value-added membership services and a consistent platform for advocacy, networking and exchanging best practices and up-to-date information.

India Myanmar Chamber of Commerce (IMCC)

A non-profit organization focused on bilateral trade & Investment between India and Myanmar with objective of promoting closer economic ties between the two countries. We believe in encouraging local partnerships and upholding the highest business standards. IMCC was established on 2017 and is a very vibrant chamber offering a credible platform to businessmen in India and Myanmar to connect with each other and further our trade relationship. Bilateral trade is about USD 2 billion and IMCC goal is to increase bilateral trade to USD 5 Billion.

IMCC is a platform created by CEO’s of Indian and Myanmar companies under the guidance of Indian Ambassador to Myanmar and Commercial Wing of the Embassy to increase interaction and awareness of Myanmar business potential for Indian Businesses. Indian Ambassador to Myanmar is the patron of IMCC. The Executive Committee consists of 20 members who are experienced CEOs working in Myanmar for many years have been volunteering towards IMCC. As Myanmar and Indian businessperson with interest in trade or investment between Myanmar and India, IMCC is a credible platform to help you achieve your objectives.

Myanmar Microfinance Association (MMFA)

The Myanmar Microfinance Association (MMFA) Inc. is the national association gathering microfinance practitioners (registered microfinance institutions including banks, NGOs and private companies) and other relevant stakeholders working to improve access to appropriate and affordable financial services for the poor and unbanked people in Myanmar.

MMFA aims to promote transparency, sustainability, and quality of microfinance services by offering training opportunities and other relevant services to its members. MMFA contributes to enhance sector coordination by providing a platform to share information and best practices and acts as the representative of microfinance practitioners before donors and investors as well as regulators and supervisors contributing to a conducive legal and regulatory environment.

The MMFA was created in 2013. It obtained the temporary license as a non-profit association from the Ministry of Home Affairs in October 2016 and became permanent licensed on 30 March of 2017. The Association received its permanent license as a non-profit association from the Ministry of Home Affairs on 30 March of 2017. In December 2022, MMFA was registered by license as an association (company limited by guarantee) under the Myanmar Companies Law 2017 and received the certificate of registration and license from the DICA on 10 March 2023.

CCI France Myanmar

CCI France Myanmar, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry representing the French interests in Myanmar, is a local and entirely self-funded non-profit organization situated in Yangon. Its primary mission is to enhance economic ties between France and Myanmar.

  • Member of CCI France International Network: As a part of this network, CCI France Myanmar collaborates with 124 French Chambers across 94 countries, providing support to more than 37,000 companies worldwide.
  • Collaboration with French Institutions in Myanmar: The organization maintains close partnerships with various Chambers of Commerce and French institutions in Myanmar, including the French Embassy, the IFB (French Institute), and LFIR (the International French School).
  • Chronology: CCI France Myanmar has a storied history, originating as the French Business Association in 1996, evolving into the Association France Myanmar des Affaires (AFMA) in 2004, and ultimately transitioning into CCI France Myanmar in 2014.
  • Awards and Initiatives: The organization received the 2017 APAC Small Chamber Award from the International Chamber of Commerce and the 2017 Best Performing Chamber recognition from CCI France International. Noteworthy initiatives include the introduction of the “Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Awards” in 2018 to support the local business community and the “Come to Myanmar Video Competition” in 2019 aimed at promoting local tourism.
  • Services: CCI France Myanmar provides a range of services to support the growth of its members’ businesses and conducts over 45 business events and training sessions annually.

Malaysia – Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC)

Malaysia-Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC) was established in July 2011 under the patronage of the Embassy of Malaysia. It is a legal entity registered with the Department of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) and officially recognized by the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI). Its main objective is to be a platform to facilitate Malaysian businesses in Myanmar. It is governed by a duly elected Executive Committee (EC) with the Ambassador of Malaysia to Myanmar as Patron.MMBC organizes regular events such as briefings, seminars, networking and sharing of information with our members. We engage with other business chambers in Yangon to facilitate networking and ideas exchange in the business community. We also provide investment briefings in cooperation with the Economic Section of the Embassy of Malaysia as and when there are Malaysian delegates visiting Myanmar.
