Daw Khine Wai Thwe

Khine is a Certified Director and Faculty Member of the Myanmar Institute of Directors (MIoD) and a USAID Women Corporate Directors alumna. She brings extensive expertise in corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory engagement through senior leadership roles in leading Myanmar companies as well as multinational organizations including International SOS and British American Tobacco (BAT).

She previously led the government relations department at Yoma Group, aligning regulatory strategies with business objectives to support sustainable growth for listed entities Yoma Strategic Holdings (YSH) and First Myanmar Investment (FMI), alongside their development initiatives. Prior to that, as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Company Secretary at Digital Money Myanmar Ltd. (Wave Money), Khine was responsible for corporate governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, stakeholder communications, and fostering strong relationships with regulators and partners.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Khine has partnered with the Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE) and collaborated with EuroCHAM, AmCHAM, and BritCHAM to promote responsible investment policies and improve ease of doing business. Through her work with the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA), she has advanced digital financial literacy to empower MSMEs in Myanmar.

As an Executive Committee Member of the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYANWEN), Khine actively supports women entrepreneurs by providing mentorship and practical resources focused on empowerment and growth.

Beyond her professional commitments, Khine embraces the Rotary spirit of “Service Above Self” as a dedicated Rotarian. She also enjoys traveling and fashion.

U Thet Zaw Htwe

U Thet Zaw Htwe is the Head of Policy and Strategy at the European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (EuroCham Myanmar), where he leads strategic advocacy and multi-stakeholder initiatives supporting responsible business practices. Drawing on deep expertise in stakeholder mapping, regulatory risk assessment, and policy analysis, Thet has produced actionable policy guidance for multinational companies navigating high-stakes issues including banking, trading, political environment, and heightened due diligence. He currently leads various advocacy groups and working groups under EuroCham Myanmar, representing European businesses across diverse stakeholder levels.

With extensive experience engaging industry, development and other multiple stakeholders, he spearheaded the first-ever Cross-Internship and Human Resources Development Programme under EuroCham Myanmar’s HR Working Group and the first-ever private sector-led cost of living monitoring project in Myanmar. A frequent speaker at global forums, such as World Economic Forum, UN Forum on Business and Human Rights, Thet brings practical insights on building scalable partnerships that bridge gaps in complex and evolving economic contexts.

Daw Khin Soe Htaik

Daw Khin Soe Htaik is a legal and governance professional with over a decade of experience in labour rights, human rights, regulatory compliance, and strategic stakeholder engagement in Myanmar. She worked for international organizations, humanitarian actors, development partners, and private sector institutions on complex legal, operational, and governance matters in sensitive and evolving environments. Drawing extensive experience in labour law, internal investigations, policy analysis, and government liaison, she has led high-level engagement with government authorities, civil society organizations, and business leaders.

She has supported regulatory processes, institutional registrations, and employment compliance reviews in highly regulated contexts. With strong expertise in legal advisory, risk assessment, and multi-stakeholder coordination, she provides practical, context-driven solutions that bridge legal compliance, operational needs, and strategic decision-making across humanitarian, development, and corporate sectors.

As Founder of K. Academy, a Myanmar-based capacity-building initiative, Kim is committed to strengthening board and senior management capability across the banking and finance sectors. She partners with CEOs, Chairs, and Boards to enhance financial sophistication, drive sustainable profitability, and embed robust governance frameworks.

Kim currently serves as an Independent Director for several organisations, guiding businesses through complex transitions, strengthening financial oversight, and aligning governance with long-term strategic value creation.

She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), holding dual fellowships with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). She is also a Fellow Director of the Thai Institute of Directors and a Board Director and faculty member of the Myanmar Institute of Directors.

Daw Tin Tin Nyo

Daw Tin Tin Nyo was appointed as Independent Director of MD Bank Pcl on 12th April 2024. She is also managing her own Tin Tin Nyo & Associates (Audit Firm), which is a kind of professional services provider for auditing, accounting and consultancy, (Tax, DICA and Financial) to the businesses. The firm is committed to delivering high-quality professional services with integrity, accuracy, and in compliance with relevant standards, Law and regulations. She holds B.Com, CPA, DBL, EMDev.S, EMBA and ACPA. Besides she is an Insolvency Practitioner. She has been certified completion of Director Certification Program (MIoD), AOTS Japan , AML/CFT, Introduction to the FATF Global Standards, methodology and procedures by MFIU. She is a lecturer of CPA Part II (Strategic Management Accounting.) Member of Curreiculem Committee assigned by Myanmar Accountancy Council (MAC).

Daw Nandar Thaung is a member of management team in taking care of Corporate Governance, risk & Compliance, tax & regulatory, partnership management, and brand protection awareness in her professional experiences in combining of Laws and business management; she has more than 18 years of experiences in her career life in FMCG, Oil & Energy, Construction & Power Sectors. Previously she worked for METRO Wholesale Myanmar as a Head of Legal and Compliance.

Prior to that, she was a General Counsel and Head of Communication & External Affairs; Regulatory at Unilever Myanmar which she contributed her best in Sustainable Development program for women and farmers in rural area. Presently, she is representing as a Group Legal Director of Europe & Asia Commercial Services Group of companies, which one of the leading local conglomerates companies in FMCG Sector.

In her capacity, she finished her study at Institutes of Economics, Yangon Master of Business Administration (MBA) and extended her post graduate studies at University of London specialized in Competition Laws graduated in 2022. Her most recent crediting was awarding as a Colleague of Arbitration at Myanmar Arbitration Centre. She is also member of ASEAM IP association as an IP Practitioner. U Kyaw Soe Lin, Chief Executive Officer, Yoma Bank

U Kyaw Soe Lin is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer. Before his current position, he served as Director and Chief Business Officer at Digital Money Myanmar Ltd (Wave Money). U Kyaw Soe Lin also holds key positions as Deputy Chairman of the Myanmar Payment Union, lead of the Technical Committee at Myanmar Credit Bureau, and Executive Committee member of the Myanmar Digital Economy Association. In addition, he is actively involved in developing Myanmar’s digital payment ecosystem, Myanmar Pay project. Prior to that, he joined Yoma Bank in 1997, where he held several leadership roles, including Chief Consumer Banking Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Operations Officer. During his time at Yoma Bank, he was a driving force behind establishing the Information and Technology (IT) Department of the Bank.

U Kyaw Soe Lin is a highly accomplished professional with nearly 30 years of experience in the financial industry and IT sector. His extensive background covers a broad range of areas, including local and international banking operations, hospital management system, supply chain management, and commercial sectors where he possesses various expertise including banking operations, business development, project management, technology, and telecommunications. A standout achievement in his IT career was his pioneering role in developing the Myanmar’s first automated banking solution, the “Yoma Integrated Banking System”, for Yoma Bank in 2000.

Born in Yangon, U Kyaw Soe Lin holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Physics from Yangon University and a Master of Science in Technology from Yangon Computer University.

 

U Bo Bo Zin, Chief Digital Operating Officer, A bank

U Bo Bo Zinn received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Yangon University in 2000 and later earned a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University in 2019.

With over 23 years of experience across the IT and banking sectors, he possesses deep expertise in Mobile Financial Services, Core Banking Integration, Data Center Technologies and FinTech innovation.

He began his career in IT in 2002 and has since led various innovative technology and banking initiatives. He has spearheaded numerous digital transformation programmes in the financial sector, including digital lending products and initiatives leveraging Cloud-Native platforms, blockchain technologies, and decentralized applications such as P2P, CeFi, DeFi, DAO, CBDC, tokenization, and NFTs.

His leadership experience spans global technology firms like Fujitsu Pte Ltd, Crimson Logic Pte Ltd, and VMware Inc., where he served as a senior technology advisor. He has also held key roles such as Head of Transformation and Development and Head of Digital Channel at Yoma Bank and served as Founder and Project Lead of YouPay P2P/Nagani Chain (CBDC).

In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is an active community leader and has been recognized with multiple industry accolades, including the vExpert and VMware President Club honors. He currently serves as Chief Digital Operating Officer at A bank.

U Sai Lu Mon Aung is the Chief Executive Officer of KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd. and aims to take insurance industry in Myanmar to the next level of maturity and rapid growth working together with multiple stakeholders in the market. Daw Min Min Ayer Naing works at SCM Legal as a partner position since August 2018 following extensive experience at international law firms, Baker & McKenzie for 5 years and Kelvin Chia Yangon Ltd for more than 10 years, recently set up Ayer Legal Services to specialize IP related matters while assisting SCM Legal.  She got over 20 years legal experience with both local and international transactions to provide effective and efficient professional legal services. 

Min Min has special expertise in foreign direct investment in Myanmar while liaising government officials in different government departments to facilitate progress for foreign investors and local clients. She advices on a wide variety of corporate and commercial works, banking, corporate finance, compliance, regulatory, employment and licensing of foreign investment set up in Myanmar. 

She got her master of Business Law and post graduate diploma of law from Yangon University and post graduate diploma in laws (corporate and commercial) from University of London in addition to LLB degree.  She also attended arbitration courses conducted by Union of Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry UMFCCI and authorized IP agent courses conducted by IP Department of Myanmar, Ministry of Commerce and WIPO. 

She is also a member of ASEAN IP Association and Asia Patent Attorney Association, actively participate in these regional Associations with other Myanmar leading IP lawyers.

In addition, Mrs. Thin Thin Kyaw was elected Chairperson of the International Federation of Chinese Bakery & Confectionery Associations (IFCBCA) for the 2023-2025 term. Daw Kim Chawsu is a renowned finance and banking expert with over 20 years of international experience spanning Myanmar, ANZ, Asia, and the UK. Throughout her career, Kim has worked extensively in external audit and financial services in New Zealand and London, specializing in financial restructuring, improving internal controls, and fostering high-performing, agile teams. She is adept at navigating complex stakeholder relationships, restructuring outdated frameworks, and addressing leadership challenges to create sustainable change.

As the founder of K. Academy, a capacity-building initiative in Myanmar, Kim is committed to upskilling professionals in the banking and finance sectors, with a particular focus on board and senior management training. She partners with CEOs, Chairs, and Boards of Directors to enhance organizational efficiency, profitability, and shareholder value.

Kim is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with dual memberships from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (ICAANZ). She is also a Fellow Director with the Thai Institute of Directors (Thai IoD).
