Speaker’s Profile

Jordan is a Principal at Level5 Strategy, a leading boutique consulting firm that helps clients build ‘strategies that stick’. He is passionate about inspiring growth, accelerating value, and shaping culture, while helping businesses make and consistently keep their promises to their customers.

Jordan started his career as an engineer on NASA’s Space Shuttle program (with two missions in Mission Control) before shifting into consulting with a large global firm following his MBA. He has also held executive roles in Strategy, Customer Experience, and Data & Analytics at Canada’s largest telecommunications company, before moving back into consulting. Jordan’s core areas of focus include strategy and integrated planning, customer-centric transformation, and leadership and change management.

With over 20 years of experience in various sectors and domains, and as both a corporate executive and an advisor, Jordan has a proven track record of helping clients and teams make better, data-driven decisions and execute them at scale to deliver sustainable, profitable growth and exceptional value.

Jordan holds an MBA from London Business School and a B.A.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Today, an online panel discussion in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar (BCCM) was successfully organised on the topic “𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴” (8 October 2024).

A huge thanks to our panellists and moderator, 𝗗𝗮𝘄 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝘆𝗮𝘄, Chief Executive Officer, SP Bakery, 𝗗𝗮𝘄 𝗪𝗮𝗶 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗟𝘄𝗶𝗻, Group Managing Director, ABC-MIB Group of Company and 𝗗𝗮𝘄 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘄𝘀𝘂, Board of Director, Myanmar Institute of Directors for insightful expertise and discussions on aligning family values with business goals and the importance of formal governance structures, balancing family involvement with professional management, preparing the next generation of leaders, and decision-making processes and fostering sustainability and passing on family values to ensure the success of family enterprises for future generations.

We also thank over 60 attendees who joined the webinar individually and as a group, especially for contributing many thoughtful questions.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 to Executive Committee members at UMFCCI – Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The MIoD’s fifth Annual General Meeting 2024 was held electronically by live stream with Zoom on 18 September 2024.

The meeting was led by U Thura Ko Ko, who was appointed as the AGM’s Chair and thanked retired Board members and Board Secretary, followed by Mr. Melvyn Pun, Board’s Chair of MIoD gave an Opening Speech. Daw Thiri Thant Mon, Executive Director of MIoD presented the Executive Director’s Annual Report, and the Auditor reviewed the Audit Statement. There were 12 resolutions voted on by the members at the AGM and by proxy forms, including re-appointment and newly elected of the directors and the current auditors of the MIoD until the next AGM and adoption of financial statements. All resolutions were passed.

We would like to congratulate the re-elected board members, Dr. Su Hla Han, Dr. Tun Thura Thet, Daw Khine Sandar Min @ Sandra and Daw Thiri Thant Mon and newly elected board members, Daw Kim Chawsu Gyi, Dr. Thaung Han, U Sai Lu Mon Aung, U Myint Zaw and Daw Su Sandar Zaw.

The Board and the management of MIoD sincerely thank all our past and present supporters, members and faculties who have been crucial to enabling the activities of MIoD. Your continued presence and contribution to the MIoD is highly valued by our Board and fellow members.

We are looking forward to helping you and your company with your corporate governance and directorship journey and working together to further the cause of good governance and building professional boards in Myanmar.
